2 months for the price of 1 in this blog post! November has passed in a blur of speediness and general busy-ness, as is evident on Gin & Griddle with a paltry 3 posts only this month. Sometimes life and work have to take precedence over blogging and I’m ok with that… but to the matter at hand and all my favourite things from the last couple of months. 

Brunching… two great brunches at The Cookbook Cafe in Glasthule and The Pigeon House in Delgany (click the pictures for the blog posts)

Baking… apple Turnovers and Berry Loaf – both really easy bakes, I’m not the best baker so try to find easy recipes and simple ingredients for sweet treats…

A stay at Hunters Hotel in Wicklow – I adore this place, so cosy, warm and traditional – it’s perfect for a night away! I wrote a blog on our last stay earlier in 2015.

Salty chips & hot whiskey at the RDS to cheer on Leinster (the cheering didn’t work though as we lost badly!)

Gin Reviews – Two of them – Dictador and Dillons and sampling new gin (from Brazil!)

A delicious chicken dish – a version of Saltimbocca. Really easy to make and so tasty… a perfect mid week supper.

Super seafood at Catch 22 (and excitement at the new seafood restaurants opening like The Seafood Bar on Dawson Street).

The start of the festive season too with a food bloggers meet up in Cleaver East at the end of November… a really enjoyable evening of chats, drinks and great food and a brilliant kick off to Christmas! Closely followed by a work party in a super venue – The Penthouse at The Horse Show House (definitely recommend if you are looking for a private room or space to host a party!).

And the Thanksgiving Menu at Citron in The Fitzwilliam Hotel included this amazing pumpkin spice cocktail was a great way to round out November.

Here’s to December and the start of the festive season. So many fun things coming up which I can’t wait to tell you all about.
