I struggled to find a good name for these – they are not sweets or biscuits, just chocolatey loveliness so settled on going by their shape – discs! Really easy to make, moreishly delicious – only make when going somewhere you can bring them or have someone there to help you eat them!
- 150g dark chocolate
- 100g milk chocolate
- Nuts – I used a mix of hazelnuts, brazil nuts, walnuts, almonds and pecan nuts- chopped into a mix of sizes (you could use just one type or a mix for this)
Melt the chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water). While the chocolate melts, chop and combine the nuts together.
There’s a few way to make these, you can use paper cases in a muffin tin (probably the easiest way especially if you want uniformity!) – this time I just used cookie cutter shapes and moved then on to each one allowing the chocolate to pool a little at the edges.
Into each shape, place a spoon of the roughly chopped nuts, pour the chocolate over and on the top a sprinkle of very finely chopped nuts. Leave to set and that is it. See I told you it was easy… and did I mention delicious!
