Prawn Pil Pil

One of my all time favourite tapas dishes – Prawns Pil Pil. A very easy dish to make at home and perfect for lunch with friends or as a starter or light dinner. Garlic Chillis

Serves 2 as a starter / lunch / small dish

  • 250g prawns (tails on)
  • 50g butter
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic sliced
  • 1 finely chopped red chilliLemons
  • 1 Lemon
  • Salt & pepper
  • White Wine (Splash)

In a frying pan add the butter and olive oil and once it starts to bubble, add the sliced garlic cloves and chopped chilli. Bring to boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for about 2 minutes. Turn the heat back up, adding the prawns and cook for a further few minutes until the prawns are done. Add a splash of dry white wine to the bubbling pan and a squeeze of lemon juice to finish off.
