So this is possibly the easiest recipe ever but oh so delicious! And the best bit you can change / add to / take away the different elements as you please…
This version is amended & tweaked a bit and definitely a bit ‘messier’ in its creation!
This will make about 16 squares of Rocky Road deliciousness…
- 450g Milk Chocolate
- 1 x Rolos
- 2 x Cadbury’s Caramel
- 2 Crunchies
- 2 x Maltesers
- Handful of Marshmallows
Melt the chocolate as you would normally either in the microwave or in a bowl over a pot of hot water. This time, I used the microwave for ease and convenience… right at the end just before the chocolate was fully melted, I added one of the caramel bars to the melted chocolate and gave it another 15 seconds or so in the microwave. So the chocolate has a little caramelly taste.
In a dish, lined with greaseproof or parchment paper, throw in the maltesers and rolos. Put the Crunchies in a bag, expel the air, and bash them up! Add the Crunchie pieces to the dish too. Chop the marshmallows in half (or use mini marshmallows!) and add to the dish. Mix everything around so its reasonably combined and its not all one sweet type in one corner. Pour over the melted chocolate, ensure the chocolate reaches all the corners of the dish.
With the remaining Caramel bar, chop it into smaller pieces, and add to the chocolate rocky road mix!
Allow to set, slice into squares, and enjoy – I love the bumpy uneven look of this rocky road – but you could spend more time making it more ‘even’ – either way its so good!
