A snapshot of May on Gin & Griddle – Top 5!

Summer is starting, a bit of sunshine, a little bit warmer (or thats the plan, there’s been some torrential rain!) and it’s been a busy month. Here are some of my favourite things from May on Gin & Griddle…

1. Fish & Chips at the Fish Shop at Blackrock Market…in love with this place

2. Afternoon Tea at the Conrad… such a nice way to spend a couple of hours, away from the mayhem outside, and 3 layers of loveliness like this… yes that will do…

3. A walk, an ice cream, a G&T and a burger… perfect day in Dun Laoghaire…

4. Reminiscing about our holidays and time spent in Toronto and Niagara on the lake… I can’t say enough good things about an often overlooked city and holiday spot. Now its easier to get to from Ireland with the Aer Lingus route and the Air Canada summer route. There’s a great food scene in Toronto and an hour and half out of the city, you are in wine land!

5. Home cooking, tomato, basil & chilli soupgarlic breadantipasto, and a salad Lovin Dublin liked, grilled turkey and halloumi salad with griddled sticky nectarines

  1. We’re in Toronto and like to escape to Niagara-on-the-Lake every couple of weekends for a treat; have put Dun Laoghaire on our wish list!
